Sponsoring a horse is a great way to help if you can’t commit to a lifetime of horse care. It allows people who want to help but are too far away or unable to volunteer, a meaningful way to support our mission. It is an opportunity to make a difference by directly helping one of the rescued horses. Your monthly donation will help provide feed, supplements, medical treatment, rehabilitation, and other costs that are directly associated with your sponsorship. The cost of food, hay, and basic care per horse is on average about $10 per day, or $300 per month. This does not include the price of veterinary care or medications or supplements they may need. None of our horses ever go without what they need.

 

Your sponsorship frees up funds to allow the rescue and rehabilitation of more horses who need help. Sponsorship costs as much (or as little) as you’d like to pay each month! It’s a recurring payment, but you choose the amount that works for you. The program is a month-to-month donation so you can stop at any time. Your sponsorship is a tax-deductible donation.  We would love to help more horses in need. We receive calls regularly from individuals, law enforcement, and others looking for a soft landing for their animal and sponsoring a horse already at DITR gives us the opportunity to us to help more animals in need.
