Jackson is a majestic Clydesdale gelding who joined our rescue early March of 2025. Like our sanctuary horse, Turbo, Jackson served on the Virginia Beach Mounted Patrol for several years. After retiring from the mounted police unit, he then worked as a therapy horse in the EQUI-KIDS Therapeutic Riding Program. Now Jackson has made his way to DITR where he gets to enjoy his time grazing in his pasture and making all sorts of new friends!

Jackson has quickly become a favorite at the rescue where he towers over most of his equine friends. His stoic, yet friendly personality is sure to win you over when you meet him!
